Virtual Meeting for Academic Collaboration between NIDA and Singapore Management University
On February 24, 2022, Vice President for Research and Academic Services, Associate Professor Dr. Sombat Kusumavalee, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, Associate Professor Dr. Amornrat Apinunmahakul, Vice President for Planning and Community Engagement, Associate Professor Dr. Chandra-nuj Mahakanjana, Assistant to the President for Student and Alumni Relations, Assistant Professor Dr. Aree Manosuthikit, Assistant to the President for International Affairs and OIA Team attended the virtual meeting via ZOOM program, together with Mr. Eddie Tritton, Executive Director for SMU Executive Development and Mr. Kenneth Choo, Director of the Office of Overseas Centres.
The purpose of this meeting was focused on academic collaboration opportunities in the area of Social Business, such as joint training/seminar/conference and other possible academic projects and activities to support the visions and missions of NIDA and SMU, with a clear goal in pursuing sustainable social development goals.

On February 16, 2022, Asst. Prof. Aree Manosuthikit, Assistant to President for International Affairs, and
Asst. Prof. Li Renliang, Associate Dean for Planning and Development, School of Social Development and Management Strategy
attended the virtual meeting via ZOOM together with
Mr.Zhao Mingguang, Deputy Secretary of China Education Association for International Exchange Branch for Study abroad;
Dean of Overseas Chinese College, Fujian Open University,
Mrs.Zhou Hong, General Manager of Thailand Open Education Group, and
Mr.Zhao Guoxiang, Consultant.
Both parties cordially discussed the possibilities for new academic projects
and sending more Chinese students to NIDA to study at the MA and PhD levels.
Fundamental Studies of Thai Culture 2/2021
Office of International Affairs successfully organized the 10th Fundamental Studies of Thai Culture online
to provide international students our beginning Thai culture, traditions,
and etiquette inclusive of cross-cultural communication for better understanding and life adaptation
on January 20-21, 2022 for international students studying in Chinese program
and on January 26-27, 2022 in English program both classes
during 08.30 a.m. – 04.00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams Program,
NIDA’s international students with total number of 78 participants were invited to join the event
for sharing knowledge and experiences.
